Uninterrupted electricity is a very important milestone to attain in the life of
my administration and we will resolve all bottlenecks to achieving this both at
national and resource levels. Besides, electrification of the entire state is
ongoing and we will be given distribution license by the federal government just
as we have been given license to generate |

Strategic Infrastructure Agenda
Under my administration our landscape and skyline will be dotted with technical
structures needed to support a modern Akwa Ibom society. We will deploy
state-of-the-art infrastructures strategically that are of great economic and
social significance to the state, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria. These
infrastructures will stimulate the new economy, reduce unemployment, attract
foreign direct investments, make the state a tourist destination, transform the
state into a modern society, and sign post holistic and coordinated long-term
approach to infrastructure provision throughout the state.
Adequate infrastructure to sustain our rapid growth will be deployed at will and
enough to satisfy our yearnings for development and a flourishing economy.
Landmark infrastructures will be aggressively delivered for best in class
agriculture, health, education, energy, housing, and even transportation. We
will develop home grown technology to manage our infrastructure lifecycle to
maximise service life, reduce component downtimes, and optimise efficiency by
managing critical aspects of our infrastructure lifecycle such as engineering,
maintenance and operations.
With engineering the importance we place on the handles of planning, design, and
construction will give us the cutting edge. Workable maintenance culture through
inspections and a combination of scheduled and preventive activities will
dramatically prolong service life of our infrastructures and retain the best
operating conditions for the enjoyment of the people. Operations planning and
analysis will interface infrastructures to and adapt to the right markets and
enable the state provide the desired cutting edge services.
