Peace & Security Agenda
My administration will materialise an Akwa Ibom where peace reigns, where there
is security of life and property. An Akwa Ibom devoid of ethnic militia and
inter-ethnic squabbles. A society where law and order is maintained by
disciplined, professional, effective, responsive, people-friendly and
pro-community security outfits.
Peace and security will stabilise society, welcome foreigners, and attract
investment as it engenders a friendly investment climate. It will be the
position of my administration to foster peaceful co-existence and ensure that
law and order is enforced while it will be a collective responsibility to
internalise harmonious living and sustainable lifestyles.
Our strategic deterrence initiative of providing state-of-the-art equipments,
electronic gadgetry, and policy backing to law enforcement agencies and the
military will place more people on the path of state induced prosperity than in
crime. We will be a first mover in providing stability through good governance
for the south-south region as a public good to maintaining our status as the
most peaceful state in the Niger Delta.
Effective use of legislative processes will be made to outlaw and abolish
dangerous crimes such as kidnappings and armed robbery.
