My Agenda on Social Development
  • Free education and greater intellectual capital
  • Free healthcare and improved quality of life
  • Redundant provision of water and electricity all over the state
  • Radical housing policy to ensure availability of housing for all
  • Make Akwa Ibom a tourist destination
  • Rural development for poverty alleviation and raising the quality of life of rural dwellers as well as reversal of rural-urban migration
  • Establish small scale industries in rural communities
  • Develop cooperative societies and aggressively empower them to boost rural economies
  • Transform Akwa Ibom social structures to improve the capacity of various strata of society to fulfill its desires
  • Subtle messages of organised social consciousness to encourage patriotism
  • Community projects
  • Adoption of qualitative and structural advances in the form of new social attitudes, values, behaviours, or organizations
  • Grassroots focused policies
  • Revaluing self worth of the average Akwaibomite
  • Aggressively protect vulnerable persons from exploitation
With a sound policy on education we are building great intellectual capital for the state. Our free and compulsosy education will produce men and women that are able to take hold of their world and that are easy to govern and difficult to colonise

Social Development Agenda

The basic tendencies in social and cultural systems are towards change. Deliberate change management will be visited on our social structures for modernisation and capacity upgrade to sustain the prevailing needs of the Akwa Ibom society and fulfill the aspirations of the people. Tremendous social investment will be made such that mechanisms within our social structures will be altered and are to be characterized by changes in cultural symbols, rules of behaviour, social organizations, or value systems. Our concept of education and health, for instance, will be radically altered as we invest in sustainability and permanently alter our tradition and value systems dynamically and desirably.

Purposeful policies will be implemented to sandbox negative behaviours so that together we will reel out cutting edge strategies to confront and mitigate common risk factors that give rise to social challenges. By the time I'm done we will have attained improved social well-being and delivered to the admiration of all a robust, modern, stable, and flourishing society able to withstand the challenges of a modern world and gracefully interface future generations.

We will instill qualitative changes in the way the society carries out its activities through more progressive attitudes and behaviour by the population as well as the adoption of more effective social organizations and institutions.
