Talent Development Agenda
Akwa Ibom is home to outstanding talents among our children; which we are
inspiring towards higher education and careers in science, math, engineering and
technology; as well as adults that are involved in the implementation of our
'new economy' strategies. With focused talent development my administration will
align strategic training and career opportunities for the workforce and
individuals to develop a more authentic and expressive life.
Our embarking on technology-rich transformation of Akwa Ibom State will be
characterized by a shortage of large numbers of technically trained people
needed to support ultimate growth of our rapidly evolving economy. Wealth will
come when the state's economy becomes attractive to the best and brightest who
adapt skills to become part of the exciting opportunities we are placing at the
disposal of all.
We will massively embark on capacity building programmes to develop skills,
knowledge, and abilities that are critical for optimal performance of the new
economy through structured orientation, functional training, personal
development, overseas training, coaching and mentoring.
