Governor Akpabio's modern leadership style has taken on many facets. Therefore,
a systematic approach to governance was required to simultaneously master
several sectors of public responsibility. Being a strategist, Governor Akpabio
has retired from the scene of activity and a myriad of specialised officials
have grown to assist with managing the challenges of accomplishing his tasks and
targets.
The strategic position of the modern governance prevailing in Akwa Ibom State on
account of the Akpabio factor is for performance and long-term sustainability.
Governor Akpabio's strategic governance framework has deployed a robust economic strategy which has
yielded several functional strategies being implemented in all sectors of state
administration.
The governor's vision during the campaign was the main strategy. This was
immediately followed with a nine-point agenda as soon as His Excellency was
sworn in.

The governor has set the pace in every sector of the state's economy
by injecting strategic policies which have commanded the activities of these
sectors and set the functional strategies for operations resulting in greater
accomplishments, higher ethical standards that have ensured integrity in the
performance of official duties, and cross fertilisation of ideas.
The suitability, feasibility, and acceptability of the governor's strategic
policies are reflected in how well each ministry under the able leadership of
the governor's appointed commissioners have been able to evolve plans to guide
their operations.
Sectoral strategy implementation has tremendously transformed Akwa Ibom State
into a modern economy. As these strategies evolve, leading to a vibrant economy,
a strategic state executive, legislative dynamism, and judicial effectiveness
the governor can be said to be delivering on his vision of socio-economic
transformation to a greater Akwa Ibom State. |
